📌 Important update: Citizens of visa-free countries, including Uzbekistan, will now be required to register through a special mobile application called RuID before entering Russia. This system is designed to simplify living and working in Russia. In addition, a QR code will be required at the border crossing.
How to obtain a QR code:
1️⃣ Submit an online application via the "Госуслуги RuID" app.
• The application must be submitted at least 72 hours before entry.
• In emergency situations (such as illness or the death of a close relative), it can be submitted up to 4 hours before arrival.
2️⃣ After verification, you will receive a QR code, which must be presented when crossing the border.
• The code is valid for 90 days. If you do not enter Russia within this period, you will need to apply for a new code.
• Upon entry, biometric data (photo and fingerprints) will be collected.
This requirement applies to citizens of visa-free countries, including Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. The RuID application will also serve as an electronic document containing:
- biometric data (photo and fingerprints),
- work permit,
- length of stay,
- registered address, and other relevant information.
